This will be our first year as the IKM-Manning High School Band. We begin our year with our marching

season and play for all our home football games, as well as march in the homecoming parade! Our high school

band is made up of students from grades 9-12.

The High School Concert Band begins it's season immediately after theMarching Band Season.

We perform several concerts throughout the year. We have a Winter Concert at the

end of the first semester and a Spring Concert towards the end of the school year.

We also perform at the State Large Group Contest each May as well as our

school's commencement exercises. We have received Division "I" ratings for our

performances at the State Large Group Concest over the last five years. For the

2008-20089 school year, our high school band is 58 members strong.

 

We take a short break during February and March to work with solos and

ensembles and then return to our concert band music after the State

Solo/Ensemble Contest. We end our concert band year with our commencement ceremony at the end of May.
